Jim Dean of Veterans Today; A.K. Dewdney, Muslim Scientist for 9/11 Truth

Truth Jihad Radio Fri. 8/29/11, 1-3 pm Central, American Freedom Radio (archived here.) Call-in number: (402) 237-2525 or post your questions to my Facebook page.

First hour: Debut TJ Radio appearance by Jim W. Dean, Associate Editor of Veterans Today. Jim Dean and VT Editor Gordon Duff have raised the hackles of most of the alternative media by supporting the Libyan rebels.

Most of my radio guests take it for granted that NATO is waging yet another war of imperial aggression in Libya, and the rebels are dupes at best, treasonous mercenaries at worst. Yet my Libyan friends here in Wisconsin have no use for Qaddafi - whose regime has tortured and butchered their friends and loved ones - and support the rebels. Isn't it possible that getting rid of Arab dictators like Qaddafi (and so many others) will, in the long run, empower the people of the region by ushering in Islamic democracy? Could the alt.media be getting it wrong due to a secularist or even islamophobic bias against "islamist" (i.e. Muslim) rebels? Could Dean and Duff be right? Tune in, then email or leave a comment - what do YOU think?

Second hour: A.K. Dewdney is a polymath biologist/ecologist, mathematician and computer scientist, considered by Lynn Margulis and other notables to be one of the important minds of our time. The author of twelve books and countless articles, "Kee" Dewdney took over Martin Gardner's legendary Scientific American column upon Gardner's retirement. He also happens to be a convert to Islam and a celebrated voice of 9/11 truth.

In the 9/11 truth community, Dr. Dewdney is perhaps best known for his Project Achilles experiments, which proved that the government's story about alleged cell phone calls from hijacked airplanes was physically impossible. His work forced the FBI to radically revise its story, and even admit that Solicitor General Ted Olson's alleged phone call from his wife Barbara never happened! (For some reason, Olson has not yet been arrested for obstruction of justice.)

We will discuss the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the Toronto Hearings, the progress of Muslims for 9/11 Truth (we're both board members), and Islamic spirituality in relation to Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, the huge party at the end of the month of fasting. (Eid al-fitr is most likely Tuesday here in the USA.)

Kee writes:

"Not to leave you dangling* let me say that yes, we could talk about Ramadan in relation to the fighting in Libya & elsewhere, but I do not know the rules for breaking fast while fighting or even if one is exempt under such circumstances -- as I suspect one is.

"Another interesting topic is what I call 'defacto disinfo' our inability to differentiate between
well-meaning blunders and deliberate attempts to poison the well. I have three examples..."

He adds that we'll take up where Barrie Zwicker left off, regarding Barrie's unhappiness with certain aspects of the Toronto hearings.
